Calculate with existent Insulation (Refit)

What if a customer has insulated years ago?
Do you want to show your customers a payback of its existing insulation?

In this section you will learn about refit” and already existing calculation insulation.

A calculation against a non-insulated pipe or a channel or container is the most abundant calculation variants. But, what if the customer already has an insulated system. Here it is not serious to perform a calculation in which the savings do not take into account the existing insulation. In ISOWTC we have implemented this calculation variant in a very easy way.

First enter in all the values and data, as in a “normal” calculation.

Then click on the tab “existing insulation” (see red box in the picture above). Then select the pop-up that you want to use with existing insulation. Here you are ,then the same material data, with whom they want to calculate the “existing” insulation. Select on the left, the insulation thickness.

! We encourage you to use for the “existing” isolation VDI 4610. In these guidelines, the thermal conductivities were determined from older insulation in your current project, conducted by the FIW. These thermal conductivities, which are stored in the VDI 4610, already include the standard at the time (or predetermined) Award values for supporting structures (or mat holder).

In the printout they receive the printout with the calculation for the “old” Isolation and expression with the calculated new insulation including energy conservation.
In your realistic example will be return of invest by 0,6 Years!
