Interpretation of Surface Temperature Calculation
The design of the surface temperature may be different in origin. Mostly, however, it is necessary to ensure that interpretation in terms of the contact protection (safety). ISOWTC offers you the opportunity to perform this surface temperature calculation.
To do this, enter only the fluid temperature, the desired surface temperature (usually 50 ° C). Then select your insulation, as well as the surface material.
ISOWTC calculates the optimal thickness to ensure the surface temperature. Please note that higher temperatures can occasionally arise. Thus it is possible, for example if spacers are used.
Here is an example –
Given are:
Dimensionless ambient temperature
Desired surface temperature of the medium.
Selected insulation surface
The output will be a complete calculation, including heat and electricity savings
Calculating the Surface Temperature –
You also have the possibility to calculate the surface temperature calculation. If the insulation thickness is specified, the surface temperature is calculated self-evident. For this we need again the medium temperature and the insulation (with insulation thickness) and the surface material.
Here is an example:
Given are:
Dimensionless ambient temperature
Temperature of the medium elected insulation
Selected surface insulation thickness.
The output will be a complete calculation, including heat and electricity savings
